15% safety margin

We recommend increasing the yarn length required for your project by 15%. This technological reserve is intended for swatches, neat edge stitches, joining yarn ends between cones, as well as individual differences in knitting tension.

Knitting gauge and wet blocking

A little preparation will help your finished project achieve the correct size, texture, and well-defined stitches.

Always knit a gauge swatch.

Always knit a tension swatch of at least 15 × 15 cm using your chosen yarn and needle size.

Wash and perform wet processing (FMO)

Always wash and block your swatch before measuring the stitch and row gauge over 10 cm. The true texture, softness, and stitch definition of the yarn are only fully revealed after proper blocking.
